About the clinic
I set up my clinic with the goal of addressing and curing vision problems and diseases in infants and children. I chose to design my clinic so that it will give a pleasant and comfortable feeling to parents and children. In the heart of the clinic is a spacious waiting area, with comfortable sofas, facing the magical view of the Jerusalem mountains. The test rooms located adjacent to the waiting space are inviting and intimate and equipped with the most advanced test technologies today.
About Dr. Ariela Lifshitz Miller
Ariela Lifshits Miller was born in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1977.
Ariela is an offspring of a family of doctors and has always dreamt of continuing the ascendancy and practicing medicine. She began actualizing her dream and studied medicine at the prestigious Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg. Ariela made Aliya in order to practice medicine in Israel and was immediately accepted to the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, where she completed her medical internship with great success. Her love of the field and her professionalism helped her to be accepted into the Ophthalmology Department residency program at Hadassah Ein Kerem. After five years of residency at Hadassah, Ariela decided to actualize her love of children and the ophthalmology field. She began an additional two-year sub-specialization in 'Pediatric Ophthalmology' as a part of the group of specialists in the Ophthalmology Department at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
Dr. Ariela Lifshits Miller, M.D. is a member of the Israel Ophthalmological Association, The Israeli Society for Pediatric Ophthalmology, a member of the Israeli Society for Vision and Eye Research, The (American) Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), and The American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS).
Nowadays, Dr. Ariela Lifshits Miller is the founder and manager of “The Medical Center for Pediatric Ophthalmology” , a new clinic, a leader in its field, at Givat Shaul, Jerusalem, specializing in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. The clinic provides its patients with the highest level of medicine. Dr. Lifshits Miller performs the following surgical procedures: rectification of strabismus (squinting) & cataract in children, opening the nasolacrimal tear ducts, and more, at the Medica center, Ramat HaHayal, Tel Aviv.
Dr. Lifshits Miller is a specialist in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, including: treatment of ambliopia (Lazy Eye), strabismus (squint) correction (pediatric and adult), pediatric cataract surgery, treatment of pediatric vision impairments, congenital eye defects, vision impairment manifested as learning disability, albinism, CVI (Cortical Visual Impairment), and more.
Dr. Lifshits Miller is promoting the issue of awareness among young parents to have their children's eyes routinely examined when they are one and three years old, and again prior to entering into first grade.
